École J.E. Lapointe School is located in beautiful Beaumont, Alberta as part of Black Gold Regional Division.   Beaumont has a population of over 18 000 and -is situated approximately five kilometers south of Edmonton. Our grade  7-9 students enjoy learning in a welcoming, safe, vibrant and dynamic learning organization through both our English and French Immersion programming.

As well as comprehensive academic and core courses, we also offer a full range of complimentary programs including band and music, a variety of Career and Technology Studies courses, a hockey program, and French as a Second Language.  Students are encouraged to get involved through a multitude of athletic, arts, and so many more extra-curricular possibilities.  We are fortunate to be staffed by a team of dedicated, passionate teachers and support-staff who genuinely care for the well-being of each student with whom they come into contact!

Welcome to École J.E. Lapointe School!  

École J.E. Lapointe School was named in memory of Reverend Joseph Eugene Lapointe, parish priest of St. Vital de Beaumont parish from 1945 – 1956.

The school first opened its doors in May 1978 with approximately 250 students. Today the school provides instruction for approximately 560 students in grades 7 to 9 in regular English and French Immersion classes.
